What's the role?

As an Electrical Shift Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced equipment, including cranes, CRMGs, and Straddle Carriers.

  • Perform reactive and planned maintenance to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Address machine breakdowns promptly and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Deliver safe systems of work by following SOPs and conducting risk assessments.
  • Manage spare parts and materials to support operational needs.
  • Embrace multi-skilled tasks, working across cutting-edge systems to expand your expertise.

What will you bring?

We're looking for someone with a strong engineering background and an electrical bias, plus:

  • Experience in PLC fault finding, diagnosing AC/DC motors, and working with variable speed controllers.
  • Familiarity with ABB systems is essential.
  • A minimum HNC (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • An understanding of electrical circuit diagrams and a proactive, safety-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to work at heights and occasionally on cranes.
  • Prior experience with container handling equipment (like cranes) is advantageous.
