We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within our properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with both hand and power tools.

Duties

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting fixtures, and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to coordinate repairs and improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Carry out electrical certification tests and provide the relevant paperwork to keep records up to date and accurate.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical maintenance
  • Test & Inspection qualification as role requires candidate to complete and sign off certification
  • Not essential but desirable NICEIC approved

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, BS5839-1, BS5839-6, BS 7671
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Previous experience undertaking a similar role
  • Ability to analyse and diagnose problems and implement effective solutions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
