Are you a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Join our client, where your expertise will contribute to world-class maintenance practises!

What You'll Do:As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and play a critical role in ensuring that our plant and process equipment operates at peak efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing repairs following electrical and instrumentation breakdowns using recognised problem-solving techniques.
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance tasks to the highest standards.
  • Utilising a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to log faults and analyse defect information.
  • Developing prioritised maintenance activity plans to maximise maintenance windows.
  • Collaborating on mechanical breakdown activities and planned maintenance tasks.
  • Applying predictive maintenance techniques, including thermo-graphic imaging and vibration analysis.
  • Adhering to safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and improving safety practises.
  • Supporting environmental, food safety, and quality standards to minimise operational impact.
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards and managing spare part inventory.

What You Bring:To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Level / HNC qualification in engineering subjects.
  • Experience in instrumentation and electrical maintenance.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A self-motivated attitude and the ability to work within a team.
  • Physical capability for manual handling and working at heights.

Desirable Experience:

    • Background in a food production factory and knowledge of BRC standards.
