Job Title: Measurement Room Specialist

Salary: £45,230.18 (including the 35% holiday bonus)

Working Hours (day shift) Monday - Thursday 7am - 15.30pm Fridays 7am - 12.30pm

OR 3-shift:

Earlies: Monday -6.30am- 3pm Tuesday - Thursday: 7am - 3pm Friday: 7am - 12pm

Lates: Monday- Thursday: 3pm - 11pm Friday: 12pm-5.30pm

Nights: Monday - Thursday: 11pm - 7am Friday: 5.30pm - 11pm

Ford Halewood Transmissions, a leader in electric vehicle technology, is seeking a skilled and motivated Measurement Room Specialist to join our team as we build a cutting-edge EV powertrain production facility.

As the first site in Europe to manufacture EV components, our Halewood facility is undergoing a significant transformation, and we are investing heavily in this innovative project. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our components, contributing to the success of our electric vehicle ambitions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the commissioning of new, state-of-the-art measurement equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient operation.

  • Utilise your expertise in metrology and measurement principles to ensure the precision of internal and external purchased components, using advanced laboratory equipment.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of measurement methods and processes, driving innovation and efficiency.

  • Produce detailed measurement reports for components, ensuring clear communication of results and supporting data-driven decision-making.

  • Assist with quality investigations, providing expert measurement support to resolve issues and maintain the highest standards of quality.

  • Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers, technicians, and production personnel, working effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A completed Mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship or an HNC/HND equivalent in a relevant subject.

  • A strong understanding of measurement principles, processes, and engineering drawings, with a background in metrology or metallurgy measurement preferred.

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Word and Excel, with strong communication abilities.

  • Knowledge of 5S and workplace organization practices, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team while being self-motivated and flexible.

  • A strong work ethic, adaptability, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work independently.
