About the opportunity:
- Implement CDM/EMS, identifying and mitigating risks in designs.
- Discharge Designer responsibilities under CDM regulations.
- Ensure CDM/EMS regulations are integrated into designs and site processes.
- Address environmental/ecological constraints in development.
- Develop site designs and provide engineering support during planning/building processes.
- Manage consultants and coordinate with statutory bodies to resolve engineering issues.
- Collaborate with the project team for optimal planning and engineering solutions.
- Lead community engagement for planning applications.
- Evaluate development opportunities for new site acquisitions.
About the benefits and rewards:
The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to 40k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.
About the requirements:
- Extensive experience in engineering within housebuilding (e.g., roads, sewers, foundations, land drainage, utilities).
- IT/computer literate with proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS, Windes, Microdrainage.
- Engineering qualification (degree or equivalent), ideally accredited by RICS or ICE.
- Experience working as part of a successful engineering team.
- Ability to manage in-house and external civil engineering designs.
- Strong understanding of technical, regulatory requirements, and geotechnical/environmental reports.
- Proven track record in technical site appraisals and ground conditions assessment.
- Knowledge of remediation techniques and foundation design.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
