Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality & Compliance Co-ordinator to join our team, reporting to the Quality & Compliance Manager. The candidate will provide ongoing support to the business in all aspects of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide suggestions for improvements to business standard operating procedures and processes to improve our compliance.
  • Update process and procedure documentation where required for review by management.
  • Complete internal/external audits as per schedule.
  • Coordinate with interdepartmental teams on projects to improve product quality.
  • Provide cover for QC checkers and ensure high quality of upholstered items.
  • Organise samples to send for external compliance testing.
  • Aid with gathering data for packaging compliance reporting.
  • Gather data and information to help create Environmental Product Declarations.
  • Update Environmental Product Declarations for management to review.
  • Update records on quality and compliance and provide KPIs as necessary.
  • Maintenance and creation of Certificate of Conformity.
  • Review Material Purchase Specification spreadsheets for sustainability and compliance data.
  • Support the Sales team providing relevant compliance information.
  • Help to maintain a database on Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 CO2 figures.
  • Get involved with carbon offset and reduction projects to limit our carbon emissions.
  • Update records and provide KPIs as necessary.
  • Support the Sales team providing relevant information on sustainability.

Experience & Knowledge required

  • Experience of working in a quality and/or compliance role.
  • Working knowledge of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 50001, 45001) and document control.
  • Internal auditor experience desirable.
  • Knowledgeable about sustainability topics such as Net Zero.
  • Preferably degree qualified or similar
  • IT literate
  • Knowledge of the industry or similar would be preferable but not essential.
