This is a newly created position for a Finance Analyst to join a transport / logistics business at a time of exciting growth. You will be responsible for providing critical financial insights to influence key business decisions, using the financial information provided by the external accountant.

Our client is an SME (£20m turnover) organisation in the transport / logistics sector. The business has seen significant year-on-year growth and plans to increase turnover by 10% next year.
Description
- Conducting detailed financial analysis and creating regular financial reports.
- Guiding cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Improving financial status by analysing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Working closely with management team to understand revenue and cost drivers.
- Providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
Profile
A successful Finance Analyst should have:
- A relevant qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) or be qualified by experience.
- Relevant experience gained in a similar Finance Analyst / business partnering role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Job Offer
- A salary in the region of £45,000 to £50,000.
