Description
- Oversee and manage the auditing process to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Be able to effectively manage all client relationships prior to, during and post audit, adding value to the client and receiving no/minimal negative feedback from the clients.
- Ability to train other staff members on audit, accounts preparation, corporation tax and other technical areas.
- Review audit work to a high standard identifying any errors and providing necessary feedback and training.
- Able to complete any individual entity audit from planning to completion and complete audit work on all sections of the audit file to a high standard (including technical areas such as IFRS16 and consolidation)
- Can lead on planning and completion meetings with client management with support of Audit Partner / Director, including taking ownership of the Audit Findings Report / Audit Planning Documents delivered to clients.
- Assist in managing the workflows, audit planner and in managing and supporting the audit team alongside The Audit Director / Partner.
- Progress and develop your own skills and knowledge in line with your agreed goals and objectives as well as talking ownership of own and team CPD requirements
- Identify potential risk areas in financial reports and recommend corrective actions
- Contribute to the development of the audit team through training and mentoring
Profile
A successful Audit Assistant Manager should have:
- A solid educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- High level attention to detail.
- Analytical and methodical approach to work.
- Being proactive and self-motivated.
- Having good interpersonal skills.
- Being able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Positive attitude in-line with the firm's core values and policies.
- Actively promote the firm's culture and policies among other team members.
- Proficient knowledge of auditing standards and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
