Finance Business Partner

£49,474 - £52,805

Permanent, Full-time

Liverpool (hybrid working)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join a well-established forward-thinking Public Sector organisation on a permanent, full time basis. My client is looking for a Finance Business Partner to add value to their existing team.

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial advice to all business units. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for a breadth of finance duties for this relatively small finance team:

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

  • To provide advice in all areas relating to financial management in the provision of regular financial and management information
  • To support and potentially prepare the annual statement of accounts
  • To co-ordinate all revenue and capital budgets
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to budget holders, including preparation and interpretation of management accounts in order that managers can make informed decisions for their service areas
  • To provide financial support to key procurement projects

Required skills and experience of the Finance Business Partner

  • A recognised accountancy qualification / part qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE
  • Ideally two to three years' experience in similar finance role within a public sector or not for profit organisation
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Excel

This is a fantastic opportunity for any individual who is looking for a fresh and varied role. The role will allow this individual to have a full overview of finance. The role will have a close partnership with the Director of Finance and allow someone to work autonomously, making their own mark on the role and in turn the organisation.

The Finance Business Partner role comes with the following fantastic benefits

  • Impressive office space/working environment
  • Flexible working
  • Excellent Pension scheme
  • Hybrid working (2 days on site)
  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays (possibility of a match if sector relevant)

This unique role will suit an individual who is either looking to use their existing finance experience to add real value in an all-round varied role or possibly an induvial who is looking to widen their finance experience and make a mark in a new position.
