My client, a leading retail company in Liverpool, are looking for a dynamic Finance Business Partner to join their high-performing commercial finance team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, partnering with stakeholders involved in the company's transformation programme. You will be instrumental in delivering against business plans, identifying commercial challenges and opportunities, and proactively reacting to volatility.

Your role will involve tracking benefits against business cases and holding each business owner accountable. If you are commercially focused, self-motivated, and have a strong analytical approach, this could be the perfect role for you.

What you'll do:

  • Business partner all stakeholders involved in our online transformation programme
  • Assist in ensuring that all the desired outcomes of project and its constituent work streams are identified and accurately specified
  • Create a process to review unprofitable ecommerce activity
  • Link in with operations to understand optimum fulfilment model for each product type and costs
  • Partner with all stakeholders to build robust business cases ensuring all financial aspects are considered
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure all impacts of each project are forecast in latest views, budgets and forward planning including both capex and opex.
  • Responsible for benefit realization tracking and reporting
  • Effective management of Transformation programme financial risks and opportunities providing timely effective transparency to Steering Boards and stakeholders enabling effective interventions.
  • Drive forecasting rigour and timescales across all areas to feed into the overall business planning requirements aligning KPIs end to end across the business.

What you bring:

  • Fully CIMA qualified
  • Proven experience in a Commercial Finance team, ideally working with online/transformation/ecommerce
  • Retail/ecommerce experience an advantage
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the business
  • Strong analytical approach
  • Strength of character to support and influence senior decision makers
  • Used to adapting and dealing with change
  • Passion and desire to complete tasks to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and listening skills
