Our client is a leading company who provide support for the maritime and energy sectors. In this role you will be preparing and analysing key financial information while supporting senior management and the team. You will be providing high quality support to all levels of the business. Key responsbilities will involve responding to queries from the parent company, colleagues and third-party service providers, posting and reconciling all aspects of financial information, preparing year end statutory accounts in line with company and financial reporting standards, preparing workings and reconciliation for quarterly VAT returns, and supporting with internal and external audit activity when required.
You will have experience of working in a similar role and knowledge of UK tax legisliation and an understanding of the importance of governance and control. Ideally you will hold a professional qualification in accountancy or finance.
