Finance ManagerLiverpool£45,000 - £55,000Are you an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant looking to make an impact in growing business in the Liverpool area? The ideal candidate will have experience of producing both Financial Accounts and Management Accounts as you will be supporting both the management accounting and financial reporting functions across the business.

You will also be mentoring the small transactional team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Group Financial Director. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be proactive, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Posting and reviewing key journals, including inter company adjustments, accruals, and tax journals.
  • Oversee revenue recognition.
  • Conduct variance analysis against budgets and provide commentary for board reports.
  • Accounts production
  • Preparation of consolidated cash flow statements.
  • Review and prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations.
  • Support external audits and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering with operational teams.

About You:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
  • Experience in management and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
  • Knowledge of UK VAT
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Organised, adaptable, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
