Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the International finance function, driving efficiencies, and leading the financial reporting and management for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the timely and accurate preparation of financial results, ensuring financial information is entered into systems efficiently to support management decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Oversee management accounting and reconciliation processes, ensuring consistency across international entities.
  • Handle treasury management and cash forecasting for specific entities, providing detailed cash reports to the Finance Director.
  • Collaborate with management accountants and team members to manage AR factoring processes, ensuring cash needs are met.
  • Ensure month-end close deadlines and reporting requirements for designated regions/sites are adhered to.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure intercompany accounts.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, maintaining the necessary level of financial control for each account.
  • Complete miscellaneous GL postings and ensure all accruals and repayments are properly understood with supporting documentation available.
  • Accurately prepare and file VAT and Intrastat returns within required timelines.
  • Work closely with the Financial Accountant to ensure smooth delivery of the annual audit process for local reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the completion of the annual operating plan (AOP) for all international sites.
  • Contribute to the development of systems and processes within the finance team, driving automation and maximising system efficiency.
  • Manage the workload and development of the management accounting team.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance team as required.
  • Undertake any additional duties as needed to support the overall function.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a finance management role, preferably within an international organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and treasury management.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Experience leading process improvements and driving efficiency.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Knowledge of VAT, Intrastat, and audit processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
