New Vacancy: Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing SME organisation in Liverpool, who are keen to appoint a Finance Manager on a full time, permanent basis.
Providing much needed support to the Head of Finance and senior leadership team, this is a pivotal role, requiring you to manage the finance function.
You will provide daily support and direction to the team, ensuring all account transactions are accurately recorded and closed for month end, producing management accounts, cash flow and commentary that will enable strategic decision making.
The ideal applicant will be newly qualified or a finalist, who is seeking a new opportunity with career progression and development. The Head of Finance is succession planning for his replacement in 5-6 years time.
You will be a self-motivated, commercial individual with the technical skills and drive, to manage the financial controls, produce accurate financial reports and insight to the performance of the company.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Head of Finance and team with technical knowledge and direction
- Being a key team member, ensuring best practice, training and delegation of workloads
- Producing monthly management accounts with commentary, cash flow forecast, VAT returns
- Managing working capital, aged debt, treasury, banking
- Analysing financial data and providing key insight
- Providing training, coaching to the team
- Leading ad hoc projects, process improvements, automation
The ideal applicant, will be:
- A newly qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), seeking a permanent job in Liverpool
(or actively studying, finalist level)
- An experienced accountant with a proven track record who can take ownership and run the department on a day-to-day basis.
- A pro-active, resilient and self-motivated individual who enjoys being 'hands on'.
- Ambitious, seeking a role with progression, looking to become a Financial Controller / Head of Finance
- Be a team player with excellent leadership skills and the ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Experience of ERP and strong MS Excel skills.
Recruitment ProcessThis will be a 2-stage interview process, and the hiring manager is aiming for someone to join the team in May/June.
