About the Role
The Finance Manager plays a key role within the Senior Leadership Team. They will ensure robust financial processes, compliance with regulations, and long-term financial sustainability. You will lead on financial planning, reporting, and audit, while providing strategic insight and operational support across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the finance office's daily operations, including budget planning, monthly management accounts, and cashflow forecasting.

Liaise regularly with the Finance Director to ensure sound financial strategy and oversight.

Oversee VAT returns, statutory reporting, and investment activity.

Develop and monitor internal controls, ensuring appropriate procedures for cash handling, payroll, and reconciliation.

Manage departmental work planning, staff development, and performance reviews.

Act as a key liaison for auditors, the Board of Trustees, and the Resources and Audit Committee.
Essential:

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)

Experience in financial reporting and strategic planning within a complex organisation.

Demonstrable success in managing budgets, audits, and financial controls.

Confident in presenting financial reports to senior stakeholders, including Trustees.

Competent with Sage 50 and Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
