Finance Manager - 12-Month FTCLocation: Liverpool (Office Based, 5 Days a Week)Hours: 9am - 5pm, with some flexibility A well-established, Liverpool-based business is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys leading a team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, providing mentorship and support to a small team, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting across multiple sites within the group. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensure timely reporting
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including accurate forecasting
  • Oversee VAT return processes, ensuring timely and compliant submissions
  • Coordinate annual budget preparation and regular re-forecasting activities
  • Maintain robust stock valuation procedures and controls
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts across the group
  • Manage and maintain the fixed asset register
  • Liaise with external auditors and oversee the year-end statutory audit process
  • Standardise financial reporting across all UK sites, while addressing site-specific requirements
  • Provide line management support within the finance department, as appropriate
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support on ad hoc financial projects as required

This role would suit an experienced and detail-oriented finance professional who is confident working independently and leading a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
