VPss are currently looking to appoint an experienced Finance Director for an established Sports Nutrition Business based near Liverpool. The successful individual who is placed as the Finance Director will assist the Directors to manage and improve the accounting and finances of the Group and assist in potential expansion and company acquisitions

Key responsibilities for the Group Finance Director will include:

• Supervise and monitor the transaction and order processing process, sales and purchase ledgers and reconciliation of bank and invoice finance accounts

• Monitor and oversee supplier and payroll payments

• You will be key on advising on financial matters and helping guide the business to further growth

• Preparation and submission of VAT returns

• Managing of cashflows

• Preparation of monthly management accounts

• Identify, monitor and strive to improve relevant Key Performance Indicators

• Ensure reporting requirements of relevant financial institutions are met

• Preparation of Year End information for submission to external accountant ready for Statutory Accounts

• Preparation of other financial information as and when required by the Directors

Responsibility for financial controls, minimising the risk to the Group.

The successful Group Finance Director candidates must have the following criteria

• An inspirational leader who guides and drives teams to success

• Experienced in a great deal (or all) of the details listed above

• Able to keep completely up to date on changing regulatory environments

• High levels of written and spoken communications

• Proven analytical skills

• Significant experience in a senior financial role
