Senior Finance Manager / Liverpool / Salary £75,000 -£80,000 + bonus and other great benefits.

We're excited to be working with a leading global organisation, to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Manager for lead on their UK and overseas business units. This role plays a pivotal part in their Finance and Accounting team, focusing on tax filings, monthly financial close, audit management, reporting, and key SAP initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position is ideal for a skilled finance professional ready to lead a team of 7. The role demands a good understanding of financial reporting, tax management, and process optimisation, with a chance to drive strategic projects across your business unit areas.

Key duties include:

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements and oversee statutory audits for all legal entities in the region.
  • Supervise VAT returns, accounting, and Intrastat reporting across multiple regions.
  • Manage income tax calculations, provisions, and tax accounting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Lead and support local accounting teams in the UK and overseas, ensuring effective financial operations.
  • Partner with external consultants to manage income tax return preparation and explore tax savings opportunities.
  • Take ownership of complex global initiatives, including legal entity harmonisation, cash repatriation, and inter-company transactions.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation and reporting.
  • Drive process improvements for optimised, standardised global accounting practices.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Treasury to manage liquidity for all regional entities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Analytical Finance, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, and Tax.
  • Oversee SOX, external audits, tax audits, and support other compliance initiatives.

Key skills:

  • Experienced managing a finance team, with responsibility for multiple entities.
  • Practical knowledge of income tax and VAT regulations.
  • Familiarity with IFRS, UK GAAP and working knowledge of SAP would be desirable.
  • ACCA/ACA or CIMA qualification.
