About the Role: We are seeking skilled Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join our dynamic team for a temporary position. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating Reach and Counterbalance Forklifts (RTITB trained/certified)
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
- Stacking and storing materials safely in designated areas
- Conducting routine equipment checks and maintenance
- Adhering to health and safety protocols
- Supporting warehouse operations as needed
Requirements:
- Valid RTITB Reach and Counterbalance Forklift certification
- Loading and unloading of deliveries and collections
- Quality checks of materials on arrival.
- Order picking/physical handling of stock.
- Accurate record keeping ensuring product traceability.
- Accurately locate stock to the warehouse and input into computer system.
- Managing visibility/ accuracy of stock through regular and robust PI checks (cycle counts ).
- Escalate issues to Warehouse Manager, as appropriate.
- Forward checking to ensure everything in place to prevent line downtime-materials, information etc
- Completing Risk assessments and reporting accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Always display warehouse best practices.
- To ensure that all Health and Safety standards are maintained and that you always show due diligence. You should report any bad practices to the Health and Safety Advise.
