Swift Specialist Recruitment are currently seeking a Customs Clerk for one of our well established forwarding agents based in Liverpool.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To Co-ordinate Import and Export activities, conforming to HM Revenue & Customs regulations

• Liaise with Customs legal counsel to check controls and licensing requirements

• Ensure all HM Revenue & Customs duty liabilities are fulfilled, minimising cost

• Liaise with, customers, suppliers, necessary agents and customs authorities to address any issues/questions arising from business activities

• High volumes of data entry on spreadsheets

Skills, Experience And Competencies

• Working experience of Exports/Imports & Customs Compliance and regulations (at least 6 months experience in the UK)

• Knowledge of customs requirements and formalities with particular focus on UK & EU imports

• Right to work in the UK

• Working knowledge of the CDS system both Imports and Exports

• Proficient with Microsoft packages especially Ms Excel and other Ms packages
