We've got an exciting opportunity for a Transport Operator to join our Transport office in Liverpool, specifically covering day shifts. They will play a key part in the daily and weekly route planning for vehicles and drivers effectively within budgetary and legal constraints.

How you will help us and what you can expect

• Adhere to the Drivers working time directive
• Provide out of hours support to drivers as and when required
• Operate and route MSC Own Vehicles to ensure maximum utilization
• Provide detailed explanations on haulage failures where required
• Provide detailed explanations on all VBS no shows
• Route vehicles to cover the required work at most cost effective level, whilst balancing performance requirements
• The work is predominantly Monday to Friday, however once fully trained there will be a shared element of out-of-hours ‘on call’ duties. Flexibility in respect of hours is therefore essential.

Skills and experience you'll bring to us

• Good understanding of transport industry, (ie) drivers hours / Legislation
• Good phone manner and customer service awareness
• CPC qualification (advantageous)
• Be able to work in a pressurised environment
• A good team player
• Knowledge of Destin8 and Port of Felixstowe VBS system for the Ports of Felixstowe, Liverpool and Southampton Able to work flexible hours.
