About the Company:A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Liverpool is seeking an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join their team. This role is ideal for someone part-qualified or looking to develop their career further within a supportive environment, handling a range of clients across different sectors.

The Role:As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will assist in preparing accounts and financial statements for a varied portfolio of clients. You will work closely with senior staff, gaining valuable experience while delivering a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
• Completing VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts for clients.
• Preparing tax computations and assisting with tax compliance.
• Liaising with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and build strong relationships.
• Supporting with audit tasks and processes where required.
• Maintaining accurate and organised records for clients.
• Assisting senior accountants with ad-hoc duties and client work as necessary.
• Working with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
• Ensuring deadlines are met and all work is completed to the highest standard.

Requirements:

• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with at least 1-2 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience in preparing accounts and VAT returns.
• A good understanding of UK GAAP and tax regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• A proactive attitude, with a desire to learn and progress in your career.
