We are currently looking for an experienced center lathe turner for a full time permanent position based in the Liverpool L9 location.
This role will involve working from precision drawings to roughout and finish turn shafts up to 4m in length from raw bar stock and forgings of various grades of steel, stainless steel and alloy steels on a centre lathe.
Your hours of work will be:-
Mon-Thurs 07.30 - 16.30
Friday 07.30 - 12.30
39hr week + overtime when available.
Pay is weekly in arrears
You must be qualified to NVQ3 or equivalent and be time served.
Be able to work from detailed engineering drawings.
Understand ISO 9001:2015 Quality systems
Previous experience in using steadies and turning precision pump shafts of up to 4m in length.
Previous experience of machinging various metals which will include super duples, duplex, 718, x750, hastellouy, monel etc.
a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
