About the Role:We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Semi-Skilled CNC Operator to join a small engineering team on a temporary basis for a minimum of 8 weeks, with the possibility of an extension. Working as part of a team of 5, you will assist in the operation of CNC milling machines, lathes, and manual turning to produce quality components while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operation of CNC milling machines, lathes, and turning equipment under supervision.
  • Load and unload materials and tools into machines.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure processes run smoothly.
  • Conduct basic quality checks on finished components to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform basic machine setup and maintenance tasks as directed by senior team members.
  • Support the team in achieving production targets and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Some experience working with CNC machinery (milling, turning, and/or lathes).
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings and measurements.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop CNC skills in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 7am to 2pm
