We are seeking a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team in a vibrant Liverpool secondary school. About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
  • Ensure that students remain on task with the pre-set work.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy.
  • Provide support to students where necessary to facilitate learning.
  • Report back to the appropriate teacher on student progress.
  • Assist with other duties around the school, including exam invigilation and supporting staff as required.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident, adaptable, and able to work independently.
  • Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Has experience working with young people (previous experience as a teaching assistant, sports coach, or in another educational setting is advantageous but not essential).
  • Is enthusiastic about supporting student development and willing to make a positive impact in the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required (we can assist with this process).
