Driver Trainer - Liverpool
Our client, who are a known transport company are seeking a skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join their team in Liverpool. The Driver Trainer will be responsible for providing comprehensive training to new drivers that join the company.
Job Type: Permanent
Days: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs for HGV drivers, focusing on safe and efficient driving practices.
- Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to drivers to support their ongoing development.
- Keep up to date with industry regulations and best practices, and incorporate these into training programs.
- Collaborate with management to identify training needs and support the on-boarding of new drivers.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Driver Trainer with expertise in container and general haulage.
- Certification as an approved driving instructor or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in the HGV driving industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate drivers.
- Ability to adapt training techniques to meet the needs of diverse drivers and create an inclusive learning environment.
Day-to-day:
- Delivering engaging and interactive training sessions for HGV drivers.
- Providing feedback and support to drivers to help them improve their skills.
- Staying updated on industry regulations and integrating them into training programs.
- Collaborating with management to assess training needs and support on-boarding.
- Evaluating training effectiveness and recommending improvements to programs.
