The Opportunity

The Head of Marketing is responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy across brand development, product management, campaign execution, and trade marketing. This senior role oversees a team of Product Managers, Brand Managers, Campaigns Manager, and Trade Marketing Executive to drive brand growth, market share, and consumer engagement. Reporting to the CCO, the Head of Marketing will ensure cohesive and effective marketing initiatives that align with the strategic objectives and support revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and implement the overarching marketing strategy, covering brand positioning, product portfolio management, and market expansion plans.
  • Brand and Product Management Oversight: Oversee the work of Brand Managers and Product Managers to ensure brand consistency, effective product development, and seamless product lifecycle management.
  • Campaign and Trade Marketing Execution: Lead the Campaigns Manager in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social channels.
  • Digital Transformation: Champion the use of modern marketing technologies to drive efficiency and enhance online visibility.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Finance, and Product Sourcing teams to ensure alignment between marketing strategies and broader business objectives.
  • Market Research and Consumer Insights: Oversee the research of consumer insights, competitive analysis, and industry trends to inform brand positioning and marketing strategies.
  • Budget Management and Performance Tracking: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Team Development and Leadership: Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture that encourages continuous learning and development.

Required Experience

  • Experience: Extensive experience in strategic marketing leadership, integrated marketing, campaign execution, budget management, and performance tracking. - ideally within consumer goods/physical products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of strategic marketing principles, brand management, digital and trade marketing channels, consumer behaviour, and data analytics.
  • Skills: Proficiency in marketing analytics tools, budget management software, advanced project management, and strong presentation and reporting skills.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate brand performance.
  • Proven success in launching and managing brands or products.
