Junior Merchandiser | Liverpool | Competitive Salary

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Junior Merchandiser to join our growing team at Montirex, an outdoor sports performance brand based in Liverpool. You will work as part of the merchandising team, assisting in planning and trading multiple categories, ensuring they align to business strategy to maximise performance.Main Duties & Responsibilities as Junior Merchandiser:

  • Complete weekly trading analysis for the business, providing key performance indicators relating to stock, profit and markdown
  • Review over and under performance at product level, making informed recommendations for action ensuring potential is met, and risks are managed in a timely manner
  • Conduct detailed ad-hoc analysis when required to support Merchandiser and wider business
  • Weekly reviews of line cards to manage core availability, suggesting and managing rebuys of core styles
  • Plan and manage a WSSI at sub-cat level - forecasting demand, OTB, returns and margin whilst identifying both opportunities and potential risks to stock
  • Managing critical path, stock ordering process and delivery schedules – working closely with suppliers and supporting the rest of the team to ensure deliveries are on time for launches
  • Providing in-depth seasonal analysis which will form the strategy and lessons learnt for future seasons, in conjunction with the wider product team
  • Involvement with creating category level frameworks and product mix plans to drive business growth
  • Assisting the Merchandiser with product selections and range building
  • Working cross-functionally with the wider business to ensure overall business objectives are met
  • Support with the development and managing of junior members of team

About You:

  • Specific experience in fashion retail merchandising, either as an established Assistant Merchandiser or already working at Junior Merchandiser level
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced planning and analytical skills, including strong excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Good judgement and decision making skills
  • Confidence in suggesting calculated risks
  • High level of accuracy
  • Strong customer awareness and understanding
  • Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness
  • Enthusiasm and determination to thrive in a fast growing business
