Within this role you will work across different teams to ensure software meets user requirements and work closely with the Lead QA Engineer to create and maintain test cases for our software products.

Role: Junior QA Engineer

Location: Liverpool City Centre on a hybrid basis 

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

What you will be doing:

  • Looking through PBI/Requirements, to perform frame test cases or perfume execution.
  • You will be working closely with the development team to understand requirements, create test cases, execute tests, and report defects.
  • Be able to highlight issues or differences of requirements, and bring forward conclusions by working across multiple different teams
  • Work closely with the Lead QA Engineer to create and maintain test cases for our software products.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects including root cause analysis for test failures and ensure software quality
  • Report defects and collaborate with the development team and provide feedback to the team on quality issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the software meets user requirements and delivers an exceptional user experience

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing, including experience with manual and automated testing with experience on tools like JIRA, Azure with experience of writing SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug issues and read network logs or use tools like Grafana.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Able to work in a fast-paced changing environment
