Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Grade 4. Appointments for this role will generally be made at £27,142 (Liverpool), depending on skills and experience. Please note, for internal applicants the salary will be reflected by pay and award policy

Working arrangements: Full time (35 hours a week). Standard working hours between 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working, with a minimum of 6 days per month in the office

The well-established and highly successful Accreditation Unit at the Royal College of Physicians is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive programme coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will focus on projects to engage allergy and clinical immunology services in high quality care for patients through the Improving Quality of Allergy Services (known as IQAS) and Quality in Primary Immunodeficiency Services (known as QPIDS) accreditation programmes.

Purpose and scope

The successful candidate will:

  • Be exceptionally organised and interested in improving processes

  • Enjoy communicating with a range of individuals, developing great working relationships
  • Be experienced at working in project support roles
  • Have a passion for improving the healthcare workforce and its services.

About the role

As programme coordinator, you will make an impact every day by:

  • Delivering high quality projects, focusing on engaging with services to undertake accreditation processes and outlining the benefits of participation
  • Planning and coordinating training events and workshops, including presenting to audiences in an engaging and professional manner and preparing quality written materials
  • Working with a wide range of stakeholders to appreciate their needs and ensure that we provide a high-quality programme which develops services across the UK and Ireland
  • Planning and producing high quality content such as social media posts, website content, written blogs and newsletters
  • Organising accreditation assessments, ensuring that processes are as efficient as possible, and websites are user centric
  • Identifying improvement to processes and supporting improvement projects
  • Supporting the wider team with the delivery of their projects.

You will need outstanding organisational skills and the ability to liaise and communicate confidently with a range of people. Using initiative and being able to work flexibly as a member of a busy team are also essential qualities.
