SecOps Team Lead - £55K - £65K - Liverpool

Role Overview:

  • Managing the internal SecOps team is the responsibility of this technical leadership position, which is hands-on within the security team.
  • Deliver technical security solutions and tools while working together with the head of information security to implement strategies and roadmaps
  • Make sure that all services are delivered securely throughout the technical estate, keeping availability, confidentiality, and integrity intact.
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements, company needs, and security best practices.
  • play a crucial role in the security incident response group.
  • Encourage the use of best practices and standards on cloud and data centre platforms
  • Assist IT teams with specific help and direction while carrying out technical evaluations and audits of cloud platforms.

Critical Competencies:

  • Have a thorough awareness of security standards and technologies and live and breathe security.
  • Possess current industry knowledge and the abilities necessary to interact, influence, counsel, and challenge peers within the security remit.
  • Three or more years of experience in a similar senior security focused role carrying out technical operational security disciplines in a similar sized organisation.
  • Knowledgeable about security governance, risk, and compliance, as well as the expectations for assistanc
  • At ease with NIST, NCSC, and CIS standards and controls and where they can be implemented.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-grade security solutions, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, anti-malware, SWG & SEG & SIEM.
  • Handled TLS, SSL certificates, encryption, DKIM/SPF, and DDoS attacks.
  • Knowledge of web-related technologies, such as web services, web apps, and web-related protocols
