We are seeking a Senior SQL developer to work with our growing, agile Tech team.

We are currently on a cultural and tech transformation journey utilizing cloud based elastic solutions and are looking for an all-round SQL developer with DB administration experience.

Role: Senior SQL Developer

Location: Liverpool City Centre with hybrid working

Salary: up to £50,000 depending on experience

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week) - flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role

What you will be doing:

  • Involved in agile development practices
  • Supporting the BAU and Development teams
  • Writing SQL CTE queries, procedures, functions, views, triggers
  • Working with complex database schemas with high transaction volumes
  • Migrating to cloud environments
  • Supporting production as well as development systems
  • Paired programming, as required
  • Supporting the Head of Dev and Data Admin in all aspects of Db administration
  • Optimizing enterprise level database systems
  • Implementing data security and redundancy solutions
  • Working with DevOps and Infrastructure engineers

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience with SQL development
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server optimal programming techniques
  • Evidence of discipline and diligence
  • Excellent understanding of DRI and database design best practice
  • Experience with transactional and reporting database systems
  • Strong experience in SSIS / SSRS / Power BI
  • Experience with Data Warehouse including development and implement ETL routines according to the Data Warehouse design and architecture
  • Experience of Azure SQL Database / Data factory / Synapse
  • Implementation of database performance optimization techniques
  • Implementation of locking / anti-blocking strategies
  • Experience of replication / log shipping / backup Implementations
