We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a full-time Tenancy Sustainment Officer on a permanent basis in Merseyside, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, paying £33k per annum. Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting customers to maintain their tenancies/licence agreements through intensive housing management, ensuring they understand their rights, responsibilities and obligations.
  • Ensure all housing management functions (voids, lettings, rent, ASB, service charge arrears and health & safety checks) are carried out to a high standard within agreed timescales
  • Acting on breaches of tenancy/licence agreement where required, ensuring the warning process is managed appropriately
  • Managing the voids process and promoting void properties to relevant stakeholders to minimise loss, ensuring all properties are ready to let
  • Ensuring all health & safety compliance checks are completed and recorded by due dates i.e legionella, gas
  • Undertake pre-lettings assessments, managing the new customer lettings process, completing sign-ups at the earliest opportunity alongside paperwork in relation to Housing Benefit claims
  • Rent and service charge collection
  • Monitoring and reviewing CCTV, ensuring safeguarding incidents/accidents and near misses are reported and responded to accordingly
  • Take part in on-call rota 1 in every 6 weeks

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 2 years' housing management and experience of working with vulnerable people with complex needs/backgrounds such as mental health, substance/alcohol misuse
  • Knowledge and understanding of voids process, repairs, health & safety and compliance within a social housing environment
  • Experience of dealing with anti-social/challenging behaviours, rent arrears and non-compliance with tenancy conditions
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle
