SEN Teaching Assistant Full Time Crosby, Liverpool

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic school in Crosby, Liverpool. This is a long-term, full-time position with working hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Please note that you may be required to stay later for occasional team meetings.

This role is temp-to-permanent, meaning after a qualifying period, a permanent contract may be offered.

Role Overview:

Location: Crosby, Liverpool
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of Work: Full-time, Long-term (temp-to-permanent)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm (with occasional later finishes for meetings)
Contract Type: Temporary leading to Permanent (subject to qualifying period)
Pay: GBP95+ per day, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and group support for students with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Learning Difficulties (LD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Assist in managing challenging behaviour effectively within both classroom and outdoor settings.
Collaborate with teaching staff, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
Occasionally participate in team meetings and planning sessions outside of standard working hours.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience working with children with ASC, LD, and SEMH in a UK school setting or with a similar age group is essential.
You must have a level of resilience to manage the challenges that may arise in supporting SEN students.
Some safeguarding training is desirable (however, Prospero Teaching can provide this if necessary).
Requirements:

Right to work in the UK.
Must hold or be willing to process an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service.
Ability to provide two professional child-related references.
