The School and the Role

Vision for Education are recruiting on behalf of a successful two-form entry Primary School in Aintree, Merseyside, who are looking to appoint TWO dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for students across KS1 & KS2 who have Special Educational Needs. As their designated Teaching Assistant, it will be your responsibility to support the child on a one-one basis, working full-time Monday to Friday.

You will have access to support and training from the school, as well as a range of impressive school resources.  In-line with the child's EHCP, you'll play a crucial role in removing the students' barriers to learning and supporting them to achieve their full potential.  You will be working closely with the SENDCo and outside agencies to enable the student to progress through the curriculum, so strong communication skills will be essential to the role.  This role will be starting in November 2024 and will continue through to the next to July 2025. You will begin in the school on a supply-basis however there is the opportunity for this position to become temporary-to-permanent for the right candidate. 

 

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

  • NVQ 2 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent too
  • Direct experience supporting KS1 & KS2 age groups
  • A positive and creative approach to behaviour and confidence building
  • An ability to adapt and support SEND children
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
