Tradewind recruitment is seeking a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher to join a vibrant and creative department within a college in the L18 area for a contract starting 20th March and lasting until after Easter. This is an exciting opportunity to work with enthusiastic students across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level), delivering engaging lessons and fostering a love for the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art to students in Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level), ensuring a high standard of education.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
  • Support students in developing their practical skills and artistic techniques.
  • Provide constructive feedback on students' work and help them refine their portfolios.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos of the school and participate in relevant departmental meetings.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment, promoting student well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Art at KS4 and KS5, including GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Art education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching.
