We are working with a welcoming, Ofsted rated ‘Good’, primary school located in the Kensington area, who are committed to providing high-quality education and a nurturing environment for their students.  They are seeking an outstanding and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team to support across Key Stages 1 and 2 on a full-time basis as soon as possible. This position is a temp-to-perm position where the right candidate would progress to a permanent contract directly with the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HLTA or an ECT/Primary Teacher aiming to deepen their experience and make a real impact in a school setting. The role will involve collaborating with teachers on lesson preparation and planning, teaching whole classes as part of PPA cover, providing feedback on pupil progress, and supporting both the academic and behavioral needs of students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teaching and learning process, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist in the assessment and recording of pupil progress.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and other support staff to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, as required.

Requirements:

The desired Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have;

  • HLTA qualification or status, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain experience.
    • Proven experience working in a primary school setting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting high standards of achievement.
    • Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
