Psychology Graduate - St Helens- January start
Prospero Teaching are looking for passionate and ambitious Psychology Graduates with a passion for supporting students with SEMH needs in a Primary school in St Helens. It is essential that you have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, ASC or PTSD.
Position Details:
Location: St HelensPosition Graduate Teaching AssistantType of work General Teaching Assistant work with small groups of Children with SEMH or ASCposition start date January 2025Full timeMinimum rate - £85-100 per dayHours 8:30 am 4pm : Mon Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needsThe willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potentialThe ability to build rapports with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor
Role Requirements:
Psychology (BA Hons) degreeEnhanced DBS (clean and relevant) Can be obtained through Prospero TeachingSafeguarding, prevent awareness & FGM training - essentialBehaviour management training - desirableA committed and enthusiastic attitude to workExcellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationshipsPrevious experience working with young peopleGood knowledge of SEMH needs
