Are you a Psychology graduate passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of SEND and SEMH schools across Merseyside that are looking for individuals with a background in Psychology to help their students thrive. These schools cater to children aged 3 to 19, with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Global Delay, Learning Difficulties, and other medical needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychology graduate to apply their academic knowledge and skills while gaining valuable experience in the field of education and psychology.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of SEND, adapting to their individual needs.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure effective, holistic support.
  • Foster a supportive and safe classroom environment that encourages students to grow both academically and socially.
  • Use your expertise in psychology to help students access the curriculum and develop key skills for their future.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children is an advantage, but not essential.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of children with additional needs.
  • A commitment to either a full-time or part-time role, depending on your availability.
