Childrens Workforce Academy Lead - Liverpool City Practice Academy

Liverpool City's Practice Academy is excited to announce a new opportunity for an experienced and registered Childrens Social Worker to join our team as the Childrens Workforce Academy Lead. This role is perfect for a motivated, innovative leader passionate about driving workforce development within Children's Services. As the Academy Lead, you will: 1. Support and lead Workforce Development from a practice perspective across Children's Services. 2. Provide leadership to Practice Development Officers and Workforce Coordinators. 3. Oversee recruitment, induction, and training for team members. 4. Develop and deliver robust training programmes (e.g., ASYE, Apprenticeships, Step-up schemes). 5. Coordinate, plan, and evaluate training opportunities for all learners. Key Requirements: 1. Social Work Degree with current registration with Social Work England (A). 2. Qualified Practice Educator or working towards this qualification (A). 3. Significant post-qualification experience in statutory Children's Social Care (A/I). 4. Strong understanding of workforce development, supervision, and the challenges of multi-agency working. Desirable Experience: 1. Leadership/Management training. 2. Experience with staff development and professional supervision. 3 days per week on-site in Liverpool.
