Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Service Manager join our public sector client on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week onsite in either Liverpool or Norwich.

The ideal candidate will support the ongoing development and implementation of the inclusion and diversity strategy, working closely in collaboration with the organisation's colleagues. The HR Service Manager will be supporting the delivery of the HR strategy and the implementation of strategic initiatives across a broad rand of HR Functional areas.

The duties of the HR Service Manager include:

  • Engaging with stakeholder of all levels to generate commitment to the inclusion and diversity goals, providing comprehensive advice and consultancy on specific inclusion and diversity issues
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple directorates to develop, review and implement the organisation's inclusion and diversity strategy plans
  • Monitoring and reporting on progression of the inclusion and diversity plans to the senior leadership team
  • Managing reporting requirement to demonstrate progress against the inclusion and diversity strategy and measures required by the organisation and current legislation
  • Analysing, drafting and preparing reports, presentations, and briefing notes on ongoing project work
  • Assisting in developing, updating and facilitating material to instruct employees and managers on how to best include, empower and inspire colleagues
  • Supporting in the production of mandated and ad-hoc reports, such as the Gender/Ethnicity Pay Gap reports and other data to validate and facilitate the need for change
  • Supporting the HR Services team with the coaching of line managers to increase confidence, and capability
  • Using data and insight from a range of source to develop evidence-based initiatives to support the delivery of the HR strategy
  • Collaborating with stakeholders around the business to understand requirements on key projects to develop and apply best practice and fit for purpose solutions

The HR Service Manager will ideally have:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Knowledge of HR principles and practices, ideally inclusion and diversity
  • Experience in HR analytics would be beneficial
  • Experience of coaching line management

The HR Service Manager will be required to possess outstanding and highly effective communication skills, enabling them to interact seamlessly with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should have a proven ability to influence key decision-makers and engage in strategic negotiations. These skills will be essential in ensuring that the services provided are not only aligned with organisational needs but also tailored and optimised to meet specific objectives, ultimately ensuring that the service remains fit for its intended purpose and delivers maximum value.
