Description

HR Officer - Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR Development
  • Collaborate with senior HR and leadership teams to understand organisational objectives and workforce needs.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of HR strategies that align with business goals and priorities.
  • Gain exposure to workforce planning, talent management, and organisational design projects.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, addressing concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance on absence management, including referrals to occupational health and sickness review meetings.
Performance Management
  • Coach and support managers on performance development, including goal-setting, appraisals, and addressing performance gaps.
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Provide administrative and advisory support throughout the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment practices.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks and coordinate onboarding to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
HR Compliance and Administration
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and organisational policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support the management of GDPR compliance.
  • Prepare data-driven reports to inform leadership decisions.
Change Management
  • Assist with organisational change initiatives, supporting effective communication and transition strategies.
Development Opportunities
  • Collaborate on strategic HR projects to gain hands-on experience in key HR initiatives.
  • Build skills in influencing senior stakeholders and implementing organisation-wide improvements.

Profile

HR Officer - What We're Looking For
  • Experience: A solid foundation in HR, ideally at the HR Advisor level, with a desire to grow into a more strategic position.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
  • Mindset: A proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with a genuine interest in developing your HR expertise.
  • Qualification: CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
