With a focus on supporting, building, and managing application-based software systems, the ICT Technical Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering internal user services and public-facing services. -Hybrid working - Office based in Merseyside

Key requirements for the role include:

- Experience: A proven understanding of how commercial off-the-shelf software applications are managed and maintained within an Enterprise environment. At entry level, you will have experience in application and interface support, while at the senior level, a thorough understanding of applications and interfaces is required.

- Technical Skills: The ability to provide third-line incident and problem management, support on-premise COTS systems and applications, deliver technical aspects for new projects, and manage server patching and cyber security. Familiarity with VMWare, HPE storage, and supporting core policing applications such as STORM command and control, Niche Records Management system, Motorola Pronto, and Reveal Body Worn Video is advantageous.

- Security Awareness: A solid understanding of information security and the ability to implement security controls and management strategies at a senior level.

- System Design: The postholder will have the opportunity to develop comprehensive knowledge in system design, including selecting appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, as well as reviewing the system designs of others.

- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and address technical problems, consult with specialists if needed, and design and implement technical solutions to meet business needs.

- Integration Experience: Familiarity with system integration processes and the challenges associated with designing, building, and testing interfaces between systems.

- Scripting Skills: An awareness of scripting tools and software, as well as the ability to write prototype code, is desirable. This skill can be developed while in the role if joining at the Associate level.
