PLEASE READ - Based in and around Merseyside/Liverpool 3-4 days a week and Ellesmere Port 1-2 days a week (5 days a week on site). Time frames may very week to week as you will be on site at their clients.

****Applicants MUST be able to drive and this is based on site 5 days a week - use of a company car is available****

An IT company are looking for a 3rd line Support Engineer to provide technical support (networking/Server/ Infrastructure/ VLAN) and assistance to end-users for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues.

The position requires the individual to be willing to do anything between1st-3rd line support as part of the day to day as it won't always be the high level jobs you are required for.

Responsibilities:

  • Server builds & Migrations
  • Networking duties (LAN/ VLAN)
  • Set up and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and security patches.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions promptly.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
  • Respond to IT support tickets and service requests
