Your new companyThis MSP provides IT support to over 100 primary schools across the North West and, having delivered a high level of service for a number of years, they have an excellent reputation. They provide IT support for both hardware and software in schools, performing installs and upgrades, maintaining equipment and also supporting the staff with the use of IT equipment in the classroom and the business has been established for over 20 years. The successful candidate will be joining a very well-established team, where you will be fully supported upon joining the organisation and have a full induction and training period. Please note this is a field-based role where you will be based in various schools across the Liverpool area. Your new roleReporting to the Head of IT, you will visit primary schools on a daily basis, likely visiting 2 schools per day when you will provide a high level of IT support to the school and staff. Supporting with both hardware and software, you will be responsible for the installation and building of equipment, installation and upgrading of software, working with bespoke educational technologies and also supporting the end users with the use of IT equipment. You will work on Microsoft 365 on a daily basis, as well as work with technologies bespoke to this sector, such as interactive whiteboards and AV equipment. You will become an integral part of a wider team of IT professionals providing IT support to schools across Merseyside, where you will receive further training and support. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in securing this position, you must possess experience of providing IT support in a face-to-face environment, where you have supported with both hardware and software, have experience of working with Microsoft 365 and experience of providing IT support in a school or educational setting would be beneficial. You will provide a high level of customer service and, therefore, strong communication skills are required.
