IT Technician
Liverpool (On site)
£140-175 per day
4 months + (opportunity to go permanent)
An IT Technician is required for our public sector client who are based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the IT Manager with the provision of IT services.
- Assess and diagnose computer hardware and software faults, ensuring that each is responded to in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Provide basic software support to best utilise IT systems and resources.
- Responsible for the set up and support of IT equipment.
- Receiving, checking and distributing IT deliveries as required.
- Under the direction of senior staff, maintain the website.
- Implement all policies and procedures relating to security, backup, disaster recovery and acceptable use, as directed by the IT Manager.
- Ensure new assets are logged and tagged in line with organisation policy.
- Undertake various reprographics duties under direction of the IT Manager.
- Ensure IT equipment is checked regularly and any issues are resolved and logged.
- Report any security breaches immediately to line manager.
- Participate in the maintenance of computer equipment.
- Ensure that up to date data protection rules are understood and applied at all times.
- Take an active role in the on-going development of the organisation’s IT provision.
Technologies/Skills required:
- Experience of IT support including a wide range of hardware and software
- Experience of building and deploying client PC and laptop images
- Experience of supporting Apple MacOS and Windows 11
- Experience of Supporting end users with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience of working in an IT Support Team
- Microsoft Office 2021 and Office for Mac support

- Experience of Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience of Website maintenance
- Knowledge of Hyper V virtualisation technologies
- Familiarity with VOIP
- Understanding of Cyber Security best practices
- Understanding of Managed Print Systems including PaperCut, Reprographics
