Mechanical Fitters to start asap who will join a Short-term refurbishment project working for a leading client in the Rail Rolling Stock Industry based at their depot in Widnes. The work is focused on stripping out the interiors of the train carriages.

On rotating shifts, with two weeks on days followed by two weeks of nights. I’ve attached the shift pattern break down

The shift pattern rate is £21.41 PAYE and £27.61 Umbrella.

Ideally will have experience working within the Rail Rolling Stock industry but will also consider candidates from other backgrounds such as Aircraft and Automotive.

Key skills and requirements for the role include:-

Time served apprenticeship or equivalent with associated technical qualifications (ONC/HNC/City & Guilds) or recognised equivalent.
Mechanical bias is essential for this position
Coach builder/Vehicle builder experience
Key experience of interior vehicle refurb of trains, planes and cars/coaches
Experience of removing seats/refit of panels etc
Experience of taking things apart and putting them back together
Technical Skills & Competencies:-

Mechanical Qualification
Written & communication skills.
Team worker and self-motivated.
Problem resolution.
Work under own initiative.
Full PPE will be provided free of charge.

Basic tool kits will be supplied by Morson. The cost will be borne by the contractor but paid back over 8 weekly instalments, however the kit will be yours to keep when the cost has been recouped. Final cost of the kit depending which project you would start would be the following prices.
