Claims Handler Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of our clients who have a growing claims team working with leading UK motor insurers. I am recruiting for a Motor Claims Handler to join their team on a permanent, full time basis. This role will see you manage your own caseload, ensuring fair and economical claim settlements while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include negotiating liability and settlements, handling credit hire claims, and maintaining compliance with FCA regulations.

Location: Liverpool, hybrid working available once established in role

Salary: up to £25,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess policy coverage and make decisions on indemnity and liability.
  • Negotiate and settle claims, including total loss, property damage, and credit hire.
  • Recover claims outlay where appropriate and ensure accurate reserves.
  • Appoint and manage partner companies and maintain SLA compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, third parties, and stakeholders.
  • Resolve complaints promptly and maintain accurate records.
  • Support team targets and contribute to process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company policies.
  • Actively seek development opportunities and build cross-functional relationships
Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience in motor insurance claims(credit hire experience preferred).
  • Strong technical insurance knowledge and confident communication skills.
  • CII qualification (or part-qualified) is an advantage.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
