We are currently recruiting for an experienced Import Clerk to be 100% office based, at our client's premises in Liverpool, Merseyside.

Reporting to the Imports Manager you will expedite inbound movements on behalf of their clients in their interests whilst delivering strategic objectives of the group.


As an Import Clerk, your duties will be: -

  • Receiving of pre-advices and shipping documentation.
  • Opening of files and issuing notices of arrival.
  • Issuing customs clearance instructions.
  • Booking of FCL and LCL deliveries, inclusive of merchant and line haulages.
  • Day to day invoicing.
  • Following up on purchase orders/shipments.
  • Communication with overseas offices/partners.
  • Maintenance of SOP's.



The successful Import Clerk will have the following skills: -

  • Must have deep sea import experience.
  • Excellent ICT skills including Microsoft packages.
  • Good telephone manner and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle pressure and good time-management.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
