Youth Justice Prevention Officer***

We are collaborating with a Local Authority in Liverpool who are seeking a Youth Justice Prevention Officer to work within their Targeted Services.

Offering a 3-6 month agency contract with potential for ongoing extension, this full-time position (35 hours) is based in L7 Liverpool. (Remote working at times)

The competitive rate of pay is 17+ per hour, negotiable based on experience.

** This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly expanded Prevention Team working with young people, parents and carers in school settings as part of a multi-disciplinary team to improve young people's engagement with education, improve attendance and support young people on their education journey **

About the Role:

  • Your role will be to support young people to improve their attendance in school as well as improving their engagement in their education placement.
  • The team works collaboratively with stakeholders including schools, safeguarding teams, health care providers, CAMHS and the Police to achieve the best outcomes for children in education settings.
  • The role will provide the opportunity to develop creative, strengths-based approaches to working with children and families.
  • You will receive regular supervision and support to enhance skills, knowledge and experience of working with additional support needs in their education settings.
  • You will be based within the school although you will also be expected to support young people and their families within the community.

Experience Needed:

  • Youth Justice Prevention Support.

  • Local Authority / Public Sector.
